One of the most important things of a lax bro is how well his mesh can throw, keep a pocket, and the amount of hold and whip you get from your shooting strings. For the mesh I prefer hard mesh. This is important because if you use hard mesh you can get the pocket perfect. Where as soft mesh can often change your pocket and how it throws. Also if you are looking for a mesh that can last you a long time hard mesh is the way to go. Soft mesh you just never know how well it will hold up in the rain, mud, and cold. Soft mesh can often times just break down into nothing. Hard mesh over all is better it is good if you in an area where it rains a lot or where the fields are not to good and get messed up within a few games. Also hard mesh throws more consistent than others because as I have said before the pocket stays the same more than soft mesh. Soft mesh is easier to break in than hard mesh, but once you get the hard mesh broken in it is more consistent and well worth the time. Shooting strings are another very important part of your gear. I prefer 3 shooting string with one in a V shape. Another good type is 2 shooting strings with one in a U shape. For defense it doesn't matter to much because they don't handle the ball a whole lot, but for them I like the 2 shooting strings. My favorite combination of strings is a hard mesh, 3 shooting strings, and double side wall so my mesh doesn't in the middle of practice or a game.
